Education Program

Most women at the Benedict Center have a limited educational background, with an an average learning level of fifth or sixth grade.  A GED or HSED is therefore a large part of the program for our women.

For women who successfully pass the six required GED tests, graduation is truly a great achievement.

  • Awards Celebrations

Each month women celebrate progress and positive change at Benedict Center awards ceremonies.  Certificates are given in recognition of how much a woman has achieved during the past month - this is especially important when working toward a goal that may take months to achieve.  Special recognition is given to women who complete the AODA program with a butterfly necklace, symbolizing their transformation and the determination and hard work it takes to overcome addiction.

With our new stove, we prepare our meals and enjoy sharing lunch with each other, friends and family.

     Sometimes the experience is exhausting.
